Neosporin Essentials for Eczema Relieves My Daughter's Discomfort

Eczema is a skin condition that affects about 35 million people- including my baby girl.  My daughter has had mild eczema since she was born.  She gets really dry rashes on her legs, cheeks, and lower back from time to time.  The rash looks like patches of bumpy and flaky skin.  It always reminds me of dandruff -like a dandruff on your skin instead of scalp.
Her pediatrician always told me to use hydrocortisone cream when I notice the rash has come back.  Although I would use it-  it never seemed to truly relieve her condition for long if at all.  Usually when the eczema flares up that will accompany her itching and discomfort. When I heard about Neosporin Essentials for Eczema I was thrilled.

When my daughter gets a cut the first thing I reach for is Neosporin.  I've always trusted Neosporin and have been using it since I was a kid.  Neosporin is also the #1 Doctor recommended brand of over-the-counter topical antibiotic ointment.
I received a few trial bottles of Neosporin Essentials to try out on my daughter.  Neosporin's new Essentials line is especially for eczema and consists of 3 different products:

Daily Moisturizing Cream; relieving dryness, irritation, and itchiness due to eczema.  Containing lipid, humectant, emollient, and botanical blend- the RELIPID formula used in this moisturizing cream is gentle enough for daily use on the entire family.
- Daily Body Wash; holding the Seal of Acceptance by the National Eczema Association this body wash is fragrance-free to avoid triggering flare ups by soap.  It gently cleanses the most dry and sensitive skin.
- Anti-itch Cream;  provides fast relief of itch caused by eczema.  This is to be used for flare-ups and not on a daily basis.

We tried out all three of these and put them to the test!  My daughter's problem area is mostly on her cheeks and legs.  So immediately after receiving these we washed with the Essentials body wash and used the moisturizing cream afterwards.  Within 2 days I could see the difference, her skin was less flaky and the eczema was hardly noticeable.  Within 4 days her legs and cheeks flaking and bumpiness was gone.  I couldn't even believe how fast it worked!

Now we include the Essentials as part of our daily routine. She actually loves to lotion her cheeks (who would have thought it could have been this easy!) I would say the moisturizing lotion has been most helpful to us. Some days toddlers don't want anything to do with a bath so having lotion on hand is a great alternative.

I've also noticed that if my daughter uses "fruity" like bath soap she tends to breakout.  So for months I just buy sensitive skin soap and sometimes even then she'll breakout.  Also the sensitive skin bath wash never seems to really clean her-  Neosporin's Essential Body Wash is just the opposite, I believe it avoids breakouts due to soap and at the same time gets her sparkling clean!
The Anti-itch Cream we didn't have to use but a few times- the body wash and moisturizing cream did their job so well I didn't have to use it often!  I believe the Anti-itch cream is more for those that have severe cases of eczema, but it's also great to have it on hand for the occasional flare up for your little one.  Quick relief is something that is required especially when dealing with a little one.
I couldn't be happier with Neosporin's Essentials skincare line.  It's certainly a condition that many people suffer from and finally we have an over-the-counter product that works well!  Not only has the Essentials line shown to remove visibility it has also eased my daughter's discomfort and given me some peace of mind!
