I have a fabulous Whirlpool refrigerator, but until a few weeks ago I didn't have a fresh water filter. I knew my filter needed replaced from the little orange light inside my refrigerator, but I wasn't really concerned about it. I received a new fresh filter and I couldn't be more thrilled!
I use so much water that replacing this filter should have been a top priority for me. In the future, I will certainly keep up with replacements. Filters should be replaced every 3-6 months to keep your water as clean and fresh as possible. I'm lucky to have a nice warning light inside my refrigerator that tells me when it clean and perfect, when it's soon time to get a replacement, and when it is time to get a replacement.
The fact that my Whirlpool refrigerator even had a filter was a huge selling point for me. What makes Whirlpools filters different from the average filter is that in addition to clean, cold water on hand, Whirlpools filters are certified by NSF International. So what does that mean? That means they are top of the line, most reduce chlorine taste, odor, and many contaminants!
If you are anything like my family you drink loads and loads of water! Everywhere I go I take along a Tervis Tumbler filled with water. It's so important to drink water, FDA recommends drinking 8 glasses of water a day! When you ask yourself "Do I drink 8 glasses of water a day?" the answer for most is no. Keeping water in your system helps clean out your body and keep you healthy and most cases can help you loose weight! So yes, we stay hydrated and try to drink as much water as possible.
After I received my filter I started thinking about all the things I use water for...and how without that filter my water is not as clean and healthy as it could be. I use water for everything, after you think about it, we really do use water for everything. Some of the main things I use water for include:
Coffee- I don't know what I would do without my coffee each morning. My coffee is the best, I make it fresh at home with fresh ground beans, why wouldn't I want fresh clean water to accompany it!
Cooking/Boiling- I steam most of my daughters vegetables and I buy mostly fresh organic vegetables. It's really important to me that I know I'm giving my daughter a healthy meal but I hadn't taken into consideration the water I'm using to cook with. I use water for noodles, vegetables, ect. and clean water is another way I can insure I'm cooking the healthiest possible meal!
Drinking- Obviously the big one, my Tervis Tumblers are constantly filled with water, I love having the peace of mind knowing that I'm drinking filtered clean water! I know I'm saving over $500 a year just on not purchasing water bottles, hows that for deal!
Here's a picture of me when I was prego...always have my water on hand!!!
Thank you Whirlpool for keeping my family and I healthy and supplying us with fresh clean water all day everyday!
